Summary:
Road trip through the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, photograph Patagonia wildlife in their natural settings (such as guanacos, rheas, and condors), a navigation to Grey Glacier in Torres del Paine National Park, visit South America’s only King Penguin colony & a visit to one of the oldest traditional Chilean working ranches (Estancia) - all while travelling through Patagonian countryside and pampa.
Itinerary:
Day 1
Punta Arenas
On our first day you will have a briefing with your guide & presentation of the program at your hotel. Afterwards we begin our guided city tour of Punta Arenas. Starting at the beautiful Plaza de Armas (Main Square), surrounded by historical buildings, next to the Hernando de Magallanes monument. We will visit the municipal cemetery with its beautiful gardens and mausoleums. Then the traditional El Ovejero monument (The Shepherd), the Costanera Avenue, and the waters of mythical “Strait of Magellan” where we will also visit the Goleta Ancud monument. In the afternoon you can settle in your hotel and relax Cabo de Hornos (or similar), centrally located in downtown Punta Arenas. Our entire team will enjoy our first welcome dinner, where we can go over any questions or information that anyone might still need.
Day 2
King Penguin National Park
After our breakfast at hotel we ferry To Tierra del Fuego, across the Strait of Magallanes. From Porvenir the park is located 70 miles east. This drive lasts for approximately one hour, following the shores of Bahia Inutil. Here we find the only colony of King Penguins in South America. The size of the colony varies depending on the time of season. This night we find our lodging at Hostal Yendegaia (or similar) in Porvenir, Tierra del Fuego.

Day 3
Condor Colony Rio Verde
Throughout the planet, there is no other place so accessible to photograph the largest flying bird in Patagonia, the famous and majestic Andean Condor (Vultur Gryphus). It is the largest Condorera (Condor Colony) in Chilean Patagonia, which hosts an average of 40 to 50 Condors during the year. The Condor colony is located in Estancia Olga Teresa, Rio Verde.Lodging Estancia Penitente.

Day 4
Chilean Estancia Full Experience
After a tradition breakfast on the Estancia, we suit up for a true Chilean horseback ride experience. We will witness a sheep shearing demonstration and historical tour at the Estancia. Afterward we enjoy a typical Patagonia Lamb barbecue. After lunch we head in the direction to the National Park Torres del Paine, a World Biosphere Reserve. Great opportunities to capture traditional Gaucho culture in a mountainous setting. Lodging Hosteria Las Torres or similar.

Day 5
Torres del Paine - Animals of the Pampa
Full day excursion to Laguna Amarga and Laguna Azul. Opportunity to see and photograph animals like the culpeo (andean fox), guanacos, Darwins rhea, armadillos and possibly the illusive puma. Lodging Hosteria Las Torres
or similar.

Day 6
Torres del Paine National Park
Full day to Mirador Cuernos and Lago Grey for spectacular landscapes and ice formations.. In the afternoon, a navigation on the GREY III to the world famous Glacier Grey. Lodging Hotel Rio Serrano (or similar) at the southern border of Torres del Paine National Park.

Day 7
Torres del Paine - Puerto Natales
Sunrise photo opportunity. Trekking to Mirador Condor to enjoy a spectacular 360 view of the Paine Massif. One of the best sunrise views in Torres del Paine National Park. After our last day in the park we transfer to Puerto Natales. Lodging Hotel IF (or similar) Puerto Natales. The team enjoys a last dinner together to reflect and absorb the amazing week we all shared.

Day 8
Transfer to Punta Arenas. This is the official end of the tour.
